Team Build Basics
Come ready to build, learn, and make an impact.
Whether you’re picking up a hammer for the first time or have years of experience, our team will make sure you have what you need for a successful day on the build site.
What will our team work on?
Projects vary depending on the stage of construction and needs of the build site. Your group could assist with anything from framing and painting to flooring, landscaping, and other hands-on projects.
Do we need construction experience?
Not at all. Habitat provides the tools, instruction, and guidance your team needs throughout the day.
What should we wear and bring?
Comfortable, work-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Habitat provides the tools and safety equipment needed for the day.
How many people can participate?
Group size varies based on the project and build-site capacity. We'll work with you to find the right opportunity for your team.
What does a typical build day look like?
Build days typically run from 9:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., with half-day options available for groups that prefer a shorter experience. We typically host team builds on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with other weekdays available depending on our construction schedule. Build days are not offered on Sundays or Mondays and are generally unavailable on Tuesdays.
