Volunteers are the background of what we do at Habitat for Humanity of Schenectady County and we could not do it without you!
Whether you are experienced or not, you are vital to the success of our mission though your spirit, enthusiasm, knowledge, and willingness to serve others. There are many opportunities where you, your friends, co-workers, and families can get involved in a truly rewarding experience like no other. To get started, complete the Volunteer Application.
Vaccine Policy for Volunteers: In compliance with current CDC guidelines, along with wearing masks and practicing social distancing, we expect all volunteers to be fully vaccinated, including booster shots as well as any updated recommendations or mandates as they may occur. If your choice is not to receive the vaccinations, please refrain from volunteering on any Schenectady Habitat build sites, Ramp Up sites or ReStore.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED!
Use your skills to volunteer at the Schenectady Habitat ReStore by assisting customers, serving as a cashier, organizing inventory, and a myriad of other tasks. ReStore helps to keep more items out of landfills and proceeds go towards building our houses! It’s a win-win!
To volunteer for a construction or ReStore shift, visit our online registration to sign up.
ReStore Truck Diver/rider
Take a ride in our ReStore truck and travel throughout the community picking up donations.

Schenectady Habitat has a number of committees that could use your experience and skills to further enhance our mission and serve potential and approved Partner Families.
