Come help us build homes, community, and hope…

group of volunteers at a build site

Volunteers are the backbone of what we do at Habitat for Humanity of Schenectady County and we could not do it without you! Whether you are experienced or maybe not so much, you are vital to the success of our mission through your spirit, enthusiasm, knowledge, and willingness to serve others. There are many opportunities where you, your friends, co-workers, and families can get involved in a truly rewarding experience like no other. To get started, complete the Volunteer Application.

1. Restore Associate
Work at our used furniture and household goods store. Volunteers sort through donations, assist customers with lifting furniture, man the cash register, clean, reorganize stock, and a myriad of other tasks. Restore helps to keep more items out of landfills, and proceeds go towards building our houses! It’s a win-win!

2. Restore Truck Driver/Rider
Take a ride in our Restore truck and travel throughout the community picking up donations.

3. Construction
Come build a house with us!

4. Lunch Program
Make or buy a lunch for our construction crew!
