Schenectady Habitat hosts 7th Annual Build-A-Bash on Sept. 26th
‘Play it forward’ theme reignites Tug of War competition and 20’ Leap of Faith Challenge

What: “Play it Forward” at the 7th Annual Habitat for Humanity of Schenectady County Build-A-Bash Celebration. Featuring the Tug of War Team Challenge with teams from Best Fitness, JDog Junk Removal, Rivers Casino & Resort, M & T Bank, Pioneer Bank, Trustco Bank, Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, Doubletree Inn, IUE-CWA and YWCA Northeastern New York.
Additional activities include: Wild Sports Stackers XL Game and Trustco’s Bounce House.
Wolf Hollow Brewing Company is the official Brew Sponsor of the 2019 Bash and will release a new beer at the event – a mystery Bash Brew.
When: The bash will be held Thursday, Sept. 26th, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Details: Habitat for Humanity of Schenectady County (HfHSC) will hold its 7th annual Build-A-Bash community event on Thursday, Sept. 26th, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Schenectady Armory Center. Once again, the theme for this year’s bash is Play it Forward with a strong focus on the agency’s mission to build safe, decent, affordable homes and to provide support services that promote successful home purchase and ownership. In 2018, the Schenectady affiliate celebrated its 25th anniversary. To date, Schenectady Habitat has built 54 homes throughout Schenectady County.
Culinary specialties will be provided by this year’s food sponsor – Mallozzi’s, beverages provided by Freeman’s Bridge Wine and Liquor and Wolf Hollow Brewing Company.
Jim Salengo, Executive Director for the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation and Kim Siciliano, Executive Director for YWCA Northeastern New York are the honorary co-chairs for this year’s bash. Jack Aernecke, former news anchor at WRGB/CBS6 Albany, will be the emcee for the evening.
