Become a Partner
Individuals and corporate partners are needed to support Schenectady Habitat’s building and rehabilitation efforts.
Every house built by Schenectady Habitat requires financial support. One of the ways to help provide this support is by becoming a House sponsor. Whether it’s a business, corporation, church, or civic organization, becoming a House sponsor helps provide the financial underwriting as well as volunteers for each house. House sponsorships have varying levels to accommodate each sponsor’s participation interest. Email our Director of Resource Development or click here to learn more.
Women Build Campaign
Each year, Schenectady Habitat’s Women Build program builds a new home in Schenectady County for a deserving partner family. Women Build is a program for women who want to learn construction skills, build homes and make a difference in their community. The program brings together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children worldwide. The program empowers women to take action against poverty housing conditions in their community. Women Build volunteers have the opportunity to participate in training sessions to learn building skills before coming to the actual build site. There are trained volunteers and staff onsite that will provide instruction and supervision. To inquire about becoming a Women Build sponsor, contact Kerrie Wolf-Piechota, Director of Resource Development, via email.
Schenectady Habitat truly values our volunteers who serve on the construction sites and would like to express gratitude for their hard work and commitment by providing a hearty lunch during the work day. To assist in this endeavor, businesses, restaurants, churches and/or individuals might consider donating a lunch to the build site. Your lunch donation goes a long way toward providing a great experience for our volunteers and helps us reward them for a hard day’s work. For more information or to sign up to become a Lunch Corps member, email the Director of Resource Development.
